Businessman hurt in Pasay robbery

MANILA, Philippines - A 43-year-old Japanese-Filipino businessman suffered bruises when he tried to resist a robber who grabbed his clutch bag along Patio Madrigal street in Pasay City yesterday morning.
Police said Motooka Masataka was walking at about 8:45 a.m. when a man wearing a bonnet pointed a gun at him and demanded the bag. When the victim refused, the robber fired a warning shot and pulled the bag, causing the victim to fall. The robber fled toward Roxas Boulevard.
