2 brods engage in drunken knife fight; 1 dead

MANILA, Philippines - A man was killed by his older brother, who also got hurt during a drunken knife fight in Quezon City before dawn yesterday.

Laborer Roy Garcia, 26, of Barangay Sta. Lucia in Novaliches, died of stab wounds in the chest and left armpit. Police Officer 3 Antonio Torente said Roy’s brother, Christopher, 28, is currently confined in a hospital.

Torente said he was able to talk to Christopher at the hospital but the latter kept silent on why he and his brother fought.

Their older sister, Teresita, 30, told police that whenever her brothers drank liquor, they always ended up in a fight.
