5 Taiwanese arrested for phone fraud

MANILA, Philippines - The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents arrested yesterday five Taiwanese nationals allegedly engaged in international telephone fraud in the country. The five suspects were identified as Chang Hung-Yi; Chen Chun-Hsien; Hsieh Fu-Chin; Chen Hung-Lun; and Ho Wei-Hung, all residents of No. 2 President Laurel St., Industrial Valley Complex, Marikina City. They were detained at the NBI headquarters.

The NBI earlier received a letter-request from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in the Philippines for an investigation on the operation of phone fraud victimizing Chinese nationals in the country.
