MANILA, Philippines - Four suspected robbers were arrested while scouting for their victims Tuesday night in Parañaque City.
The suspects, who were also tagged in carjacking incidents, were identified as Lamberto Cunanan, 42, a barangay kagawad; Nomer Sanqui, 39; and Franklin Hizon, 27, all from Sta Rosa, Nueva Ecija and Oscar Villar, 26, a security guard from Malabon City.
Ronald Estilles, chief of the Anti-Organized Crime Division (AOCD), in his report to Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Director Samuel Pagdilao, said AOCD operatives arrested the suspects when they noticed that one of them was carrying a pistol as they alighted from their vehicle and strategically positioned themselves near an establishment.
He said they also confiscated a hand grenade, and two caliber 38 pistol each with six live ammunitions from the suspects.
