MANILA, Philippines - Thirteen persons were injured after a jeepney turned over along Commonwealth Avenue yesterday morning.
A report from the Quezon City Police District-Traffic Sector 3, said most of the victims are students and were brought to East Avenue Medical Center for bruises and scratches.
The incident reportedly happened at around 7 a.m. in front of the UP-Ayala Technohub, the same spot where journalist Lourdes Simbulan was killed in another accident in June.
The jeepney, driven by Jaymar Malanao, reportedly bumped a car. Police said the jeepney then flipped on its side and hit the gutter due to the speed at which Malanao was driving. Police said they have Malanao in custody.
