MANILA, Philippines - The body of a seven-year-old boy who drowned in a creek in Las Piñas City at the height of tropical storm “Juaning” was recovered in Cavite province yesterday morning, police said yesterday.
A report from the Southern Police District identified the boy as Jovin Tador, one of the 32 fatalities in the storm.
He fell into a creek beside their residence at Christian Habitat in Golden Acres about 8 a.m. July 26.
“His cousin... tried to rescue him but the victim was (swept) away by the strong current,” the report said.
The boy’s body, which was identified by his mother Carmelyn, was recovered at Ligas II in Bacoor by Barangay San Nicolas councilman Alfredo Cuevas.
