Cancer patient hangs self

MANILA, Philippines -  Unable to bear the pain of her ailment, a 30-year-old cancer patient reportedly committed suicide in her house in Binondo, Manila Monday afternoon.

The body of Jennelyn Salmorin was discovered by her relatives hanging on the third floor of their house at Delpan street, Binondo. The victim reportedly used a plastic rope to hang herself, according to SPO1 Gerardo Rivera.

Rivera said he was informed by the victim’s relatives that she was diagnosed to be suffering from third-stage cervical cancer and that her live-in partner had abandoned her. The victim was rushed to the Mother and Child Hospital but doctors failed to revive her.
