NBI clearance mas hi-tech ngayon

MANILA, Philippines - Sisimulan na bukas (Hulyo 4) ang Biometric Clearance System (BCS) sa layuning mas mapaganda pa ang information technology ng kagawaran, kasunod ng pansamantalang pagtigil ng tatlong araw ng pagproseso ng NBI application clearances.

Nilinaw ni NBI spokesman Atty. Cecilio Zamora na sadyang hindi na nag-renew ang NBI ng kontrata para sa service provider na Mega Data Corporation na nagbigay-daan sa transition period o preparasyon ng pagpasok ng bagong service provider Strategic and Comprehensive Consultants, Inc. (SCCI), na joint venture ng Real Time Data Management Services, Inc, (RTDMS) na inaprubahan ng NBI Bids and Awards Committee.

Ang BCS ay pasisimulan sa clearance center na kinabibilangan ng Robinson’s Place Ermita (basement); Robinson’s Otis (Level 2); Robinson’s Galleria (East lane, Basement)’ Robinson’s Metro East Pasig (Level 4); Robinsons Cainta (Level 2); Quezon City Hall; Mandaluyong City Hall; Marilao Municipal Hall at Las Piñas City Hall.

Nilinaw naman ni Zamora na ang NBI at regional at district offices sa bansa ay patuloy naman ang serbisyo at hindi naapektuhan ng pansamantalang pagtigil ng clearance application service.

Pinabulaanan naman ni NBI Director Magtanggol Gatdula ang akusasyon na may anomalya sa bidding ng bagong ser­vice provider dahil alinsunod umano ito sa Republic Act 9184 o Government Procurement Reform Act.
