- Jerry Botial -

Manila, Philippines - A jobless man was stabbed dead after he was caught sneaking into his neighbor’s kitchen in Caloocan City Wednesday night.

Vicente Aramis, 38, was declared dead on arrival at the President Diosdado Macapagal Memorial Medical from two stab wounds in the chest.

Silvano Lopez, 56, was arrested by police officers shortly after the incident. Recovered from the suspect was the 13-inch kitchen knife used in the killing.

Lopez said his pantry had been raided several times in the past and he had enough.

Police Officer 2 Pidencio Saballo Jr. said Lopez was watching television at around 7 p.m. when he heard noises in the kitchen. He saw Aramis sneaking into his kitchen. He grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the surprised Aramis.
