MANILA, Philippines - Police arrested yesterday two brothers who reportedly raped two girls, aged three and 14, on separate occasions in Sta. Cruz, Manila.
Noli Alata, 28, and his brother Norli, 25, were the subjects of complaints filed by the two victims.
According to Sta. Cruz police station chief Superintendent James Afalla, the suspects and the victims’ families rent rooms in a house along Kusang Loob street.
The mother of the three-year-old victim told Afalla that Noli invited her daughter into his room and sexually assaulted her.
The 14-year-old, meanwhile, narrated that from May 24 to 28, Norli was able to rape her in the house’s common bathroom.
The two brothers were charged with rape in relation to the anti-child abuse law.
