MANILA, Philippines - A woman was shot three times by motorcycle-riding robbers when she refused to give up her handbag over the weekend in Parañaque City.
The victim has yet to be identified but is estimated to be around 40 to 45 years old, about five feet tall, and wearing denim jeans and a black blouse.
She was walking around Sun Valley Drive at about 11 p.m. Sunday when two men riding tandem on a motorcycle blocked her path.
Police Officer 1 Johnny Margate said the robbers grabbed the victim’s handbag but she refused to give it up, prompting the men to shoot her thrice before fleeing with her belongings.
The victim died while undergoing treatment at the Parañaque Doctor’s Hospital.
