Still no leads on Pilapil's missing companion

- Bebot Sison Jr., Cecille Suerte Felipe -

MANILA, Philippines -  Investigators are still trying to locate the missing companion of veteran actress Pilar Pilapil, who was attacked and left for dead in Antipolo City last month.

Chief Superintendent Samuel Pagdilao Jr., director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), said they are still searching for Rosel Jacosalem Peñas, who was last seen on April 15 in her residence in Manila, a few hours after the attack on Pilapil.

Pagdilao said CIDG operatives are waiting for the court to issue warrants for the arrest of Peñas and her alleged accomplices after appropriate charges have been filed by the Antipolo City prosecutor’s office.

“We cannot apprehend them unless they are holding a gun or illegal drugs. We are just tracing her footsteps,” he said.
