Manila, Philippines - Police are investigating a break-in at a call center agent’s apartment in Barangay Veterans Village, Quezon City Tuesday night, wherein the burglars took away not only P1 million worth of valuables but also the doorknob on the front door.

Senior Police Officer 2 Mario Turiano said the burglars stole a television, an LCD computer monitor, a laptop computer, a stand fan, speakers, pieces of jewelry, and several old coins and bills from Mary Chrisiabel Maralit, 24.

He said the burglars may have destroyed the doorknob to gain entry into the house at around 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday. Maralit discovered the theft when she got home at around 7 a.m. the following day.
