Missing Pilapil companion in Dumaguete?

Manila, Philippines - Veteran actress Pilar Pilapil’s missing companion, now considered a suspect in the attack on her, could be in Dumaguete City, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) chief Magtanggol Gatdula hinted yesterday.

In an interview at the NBI headquarters in Manila, Gatdula said he was in Dumaguete City last week, and received information that Rosel Jacosalem Peñas hails from this city. He did not make a categorical statement on Peñas’ whereabouts.

“I received (a lot of) information,” he said, adding that he already gave the data to Philippine National Police chief Director General Raul Bacalzo.

Peñas has been missing since Pilapil was stabbed April 14, but was reportedly seen driving the same beige Kia Carens taken by Pilapil’s abductors the day after the attack.
