MANILA, Philippines - A patient was killed and three others were hurt when a drunk driver slammed into a diagnostic clinic in Quezon City yesterday morning.
Senior Police Officer 2 Julius Salba said Peter Chan, 55, had a high blood alcohol level when he was tested at the Jose Reyes Memorial Hospital. He said Chan was leaving the parking area of a bank along Del Monte Avenue in Barangay Siena when he drove his Toyota Revo (WPD-823) into the lobby of an adjacent clinic, killing patient Solomon Fortes. Chan’s wife, Lucila, and pedestrian Arlyn Crisostomo were injured in the incident.
