MANILA, Philippines - Two men were caught reportedly selling drugs on a deferred payment basis at a suspected drug den in Caloocan City Thursday afternoon.

Francisco Aquino, 35, “was pushing drugs on a ‘five-six’ basis on 20 to 30-day terms,” according to Chief Inspector Cris Galvez, commander of Police Substation 1, which has jurisdication over the suspected drug den on Mascardo street in Barangay 162, Bagong Barrio. “Five-six” means the user has to pay interest on the loan.

Police also arrested John John Asisico, 35, Aquino’s landlord. Galvez said 60 grams of shabu, drug paraphernalia, and P49,000 were seized at Asisico’s house.

Galvez said the suspects are facing charges of illegal possession and sale of prohibited drugs, both non-bailable offenses.
