MANILA, Philippines – Northern Police District (NPD) director Chief Superintendent Edgardo Ladao announced yesterday the arrest of one of the 10 most wanted criminals on the Camanava police watchlist.
Ruel Timbang, 27, who is sixth on the NPD’s most wanted list, was arrested after days of surveillance in front of a convenience store in Barangay Gen. T. de Leon.
Timbang is the subject of two arrest warrants issued by Valenzuela Regional Trial Court Judge Nancy Rivas-Palmones – one for raping a 17-year-old girl in Barangay Marulas and another for attempting to rape the same girl three days later.
Timbang has been turned over to the Valenzuela City jail while awaiting trial.
