Motorbike theft suspect found dead

- Reinir Padua -

MANILA, Philippines – A man suspected of stealing motorcycles was found dead before dawn in Quezon City yesterday, his throat slashed and his head wrapped in packing tape.

The man remains unidentified, but a piece of cardboard attached to his body warned onlookers that “If you want to die after me, go steal a motorcycle or do drugs.”

Police Officer 2 Loreto Tigno said the body was dumped in Barangay Galas and found at around 2 a.m. by Fernando Catalan, who had just arrived home and was about to enter his house when he saw the body.

Tigno described the man to be in his late 30s, fair-skinned, with a medium build and wearing a jacket over a white shirt and shorts.                                                                  –
