Man charged for making daughter his sex slave

MANILA, Philippines –  A man is facing charges for allegedly having made his own daughter his sex slave for about six years.

The 36-year-old suspect was arrested Thursday night after his wife found him raping their naked 13-year-old daughter in their house in Barangay Tatalon, according to Superintendent Edgardo Pamittan, commander of the Quezon City Police District-Station 11.

Pamittan said the suspect had allegedly been molesting his own daughter since 2004, and the latest of these abuses had been on Thursday and Jan. 20.

The suspect’s wife told authorities she was unaware their daughter had been repeatedly raped by her husband until she caught him in the act and pulled her daughter away.

“Immediately, the victim and her mother hastily left and sought assistance from village watchmen,” Pamittan said.

He said the suspect was charged for violation of Republic Act 7610, the anti-child abuse law. The Quezon City prosecutor’s office did not recommend bail for the suspect.
