NCRPO launches quality service lanes

MANILA, Philippines –  The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) launched yesterday its Quality Service Lanes (QSL) project.

The project aims to improve facilities and equipment, human resource development, systems and procedures and local government and community mobilization.

NCRPO spokesman Senior Superintendent Dionardo Carlos said the improvement of the facilities and equipment of the Regional Police Community Relations Division (RPCRD), which he heads, is just the beginning.

“We are now developing our people and improving our policies and procedures, and eventually open the QSL to our stakeholders to sustain the project,” he said.

The project was launched in September 2010 with the inauguration of the QSL of the Masambong police station of the Quezon City Police District. The project is currently being replicated in police stations nationwide.

NCRPO chief Director Nicanor Bartolome said that with the establishment of QSLs at the police station level, they deemed it necessary to establish the QSL at the regional headquarters as well.

“I have also directed the five districts of NCRPO to establish their own QSLs,” said Bartolome.
