Councilman, 2 sons charged with murder
MANILA, Philippines - Murder and physical injury charges were filed yesterday before the prosecutor’s office against a councilman, his two children, and two minors for the death of a policeman’s 16-year-old son in Pasay City over the weekend.
Councilman Alex Pancito (not Panchito as earlier reported) of Barangay 127; his sons Alwin, 30, and Alvin, 27; a certain Allen Pancito; and two boys were named as respondents.
Allen and Alex remain at large, the two minors are under the custody of the Social Welfare and Development, while brothers Alwin and Alvin are detained at the Pasay City police investigation headquarters.
Last Saturday, Reymark Cruz (not Raymart as earlier reported), died of stab wounds after Pancito’s group allegedly attacked him and his friends Jojie Ambeguia and Francis Martinez, both 17, at the pool area of the Pasay City Sports Complex.
Cruz, a son of Police Officer 1 Bobet Cruz of the Southern Police District, was declared dead at the Pasay City General Hospital. Authorities are eyeing gang war as the motive behind the attack.
