Bones found at La Mesa watershed

- Jerry Botial -

MANILA, Philippines –  Human skeletal remains were found at the La Mesa Dam watershed in Quezon City, police reported yesterday.

Police said the incessant barking of a dog at past noon in the premises of the Rodriguez water treatment plant, which is under construction, led guard Rodolfo Boneres to bones scattered at a grassy area near the construction site.

Police found a blue bag containing a photo album,a pair of slippers, a pair of black pants, and a senior citizen’s ID in the name of “Soledad Sebuc” with postal address at Barangay Balagtas, Unisan town in Quezon province.

The guard said he was wondering how anyone could have entered the restricted area without being noticed. He said no one is allowed to enter the premises without the guard’s permission.

Police said the victim could have died some three to four months ago.
