MANILA, Philippines - The governments of Taguig and Parañaque have extended the deadlines for the renewal of business permits from Jan. 20 until the end of this month.
In a statement, the city government of Taguig said the it will extend the deadline “to accommodate business owners who have yet to renew their business permit and business license.”
Penalties, however, will be meted on those who will only renew their business licenses and permits starting on Jan.21.
In Parañaque City, an ordinance was drafted to effect the extension, which Mayor Florencio Bernabe said is intended “to give establishments added time to prepare the required documents” and “prevent the rush of last minute payments.”
Bernabe reminded business owners that the city treasury will only accept cash or checks addressed to the city government of Parañaque.
