Caloocan HS principal shot dead

- Pete Laude -

MANILA, Philippines – A public high school principal was ambushed at the boundary of Caloocan City while driving home Wednesday afternoon.

Caloocan City police chief Senior Superintendent Jude Santos said that Reynaldo Yamsuan, 59, principal of Bagong Silang High School (BSHS), died of at least six gunshot wounds on the way to Far Eastern University Hospital in Quezon City.

Yamsuan was driving home to Barangay Sto. Niño in Meycauayan, Bulacan from BSHS in his maroon Honda car (ZSH-711) when he was attacked along an isolated road in Sampaguita Subdivision at around 5:30 p.m.

Santos said Yamsuan’s laptop computer, the P11,800 in his pocket, and other valuables were untouched. “It seems that the suspects only intended to execute him,” he said.
