6 hurt in elevator accident

MANILA, Philippines - Six persons were injured when an elevator car carrying them fell from the seventh floor of a 20-story building in Quezon City before noon yesterday.

Noel Guina, 45, suffered a sprained right leg; Valentino Tolentino, 40, a minor back injury; and Rolando Guina, 52, Jason Guina, 18, and Jasper Guina, 15, suffered minor bruises and were brought to the Philippine Orthopedic Center.

Dr. Maria Lipin, 49, sustained a fractured thighbone and was taken to the Philippine Heart Center for treatment.

The cause of the accident has yet to be established.

Official records state the accident happened at the Lansberg Place on Timog Avenue, police said.
