MANILA, Philippines – The Caloocan City government yesterday urged graduating students from public high schools to attend a free orientation seminar to help them choose the college course best suited to them.
Mayor Enrico Echiverri said the career orientation seminar, spearheaded by the local Labor Industrial Relation Office-Public Employment Service Office, Division of City Schools, and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, has started on Sept. 14 and would end on Oct. 6.
“It is important that we should help graduating students choose the fitting course for them so that they won’t be jumping from one course to another while in college,” he said.
Today, a seminar is scheduled at the Bagumbong High School and the Sampaguita High School. Camarin High School will hold a similar seminar on Sept. 28.
On Sept. 29, it would be held in Caloocan High School-C Zamora annexes I and II; Amparo High School on Sept. 30; Pangarap High School, Mountain Heights High School and MLQ High School on Oct. 1; Tala High School on Oct. 4; Bagong Silang High School and Benigno Aquino High School on Oct. 5, and Kalayaan High School on Oct. 6. – Pete Laude, Perseus Echeminada
