MANILA, Philippines – The body of a woman was found stuffed in a traveling bag that had been dumped along Road 38 in Congress Village, Caloocan City yesterday.
Residents found the body at around 6:30 a.m. The victim, around 18 to 25 years old, had strangulation marks on her neck and both her legs were tied with electrical cord. The victim was clad in her underwear and a sleeveless shirt.
Police said a red sock and a piece of cardboard with a message that stated the victim had been “a cheat” was found near the black traveling bag, which had “Billion Club” markings.
Chief Inspector Rodrigo Soriano, Caloocan City police station investigation chief, said yesterday his men were still gathering information on the unidentified woman.
Police said the victim could have been killed elsewhere and dumped in Congress Village to mislead investigators.
