MANILA, Philippines – Muntinlupa City is contemplating on allowing motorists to pass through certain private subdivisions as alternative routes to decongest the city’s main roads.
Dubbed as City Alternative Routes Entry and Exit System, the scheme will interconnect subdivisions from Victoria Homes in Tunasan to Filinvest Corporate City in Alabang. CARES is based on Ordinance 02-045.
The city government said these subdivisions include: Victoria Homes; Susana Heights; Katarungan Village; Greenheights; Camella 1; Soldiers’ Hills; Camella 2, 2D and 2E; Pleasant Village and Filinvest Corporate City.
Mayor Aldrin San Pedro said opening these alternate routes will substantially “ease traffic along major roads in Muntinlupa.”
Once approved, the city government assured that it will shoulder the paving, repairing, and other maintenance work on all roads that will be a part of the rerouting program.
