Businessman shot dead in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines - A businessman was shot dead by a still unidentified assailant Monday in Quezon City.

Police said Lolito Parco, 32, single, a resident of Baluyot street in Barangay Krus na Ligas succumbed to a gunshot wound in the back of the head.

Records show at 6 p.m. Monday, witness Florita Tan, 55, of Kabalitang street in the same barangay was doing some household chores when she heard a gunshot outside her home.

When she went out to check, she saw Parco lying in blood on the pavement in front of her residence. She also saw a man running away from the scene.

Karla Fajardo, Pasco’s live-in partner, took the victim to the East Avenue Medical Center, where he was declared dead on arrival at 7:15 p.m.
