4 Chinese nabbed in shabu mini-lab, warehouse
MANILA, Philippines - Four Chinese nationals were arrested and P2 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu seized in two separate raids in Pasay and Las Piñas cities yesterday.
Las Piñas City police chief Superintendent Noel Mecayer identified those arrested in his area as Jason Li, Alex Sy Li, and Xi Xuan.
They were nabbed by the joint team of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and police in a two-story house that served as a “mini-shabu laboratory” in BF Resort Village about 2 p.m.
Southern Police District head Chief Superintendent Jose Arne de los Santos identified the fourth suspect as Vivian, wife of Alex. He said Vivian’s arrest at a condominium unit on Leveriza street about 11 a.m. led to the apprehension of her alleged cohorts.
Vivian’s condo was reportedly used to store the manufactured shabu.
De los Santos said the amount of shabu has yet to be finalized since PDEA personnel are still conducting an inventory.
The suspects are in the custody of PDEA agents.
