Man kills nephew for evicting him

MANILA, Philippines - A laborer reportedly stabbed dead his nephew for forcing him out of the house owned by the victim Sunday night in Caloocan City.

Santos Magdaraoy, 27, resident of Barangay 176 in Bagong Silang was declared dead on arrival at the Dr. Jose Rodriguez Hospital due to stab wounds in the body.

Freddie Corollo, the victim’s uncle, fled after the incident and is being sought by the police.

Police Officer 2 Joselito Bagting said Magdaraoy and Corollo had a heated argument at around 8 p.m. after the victim told his uncle to vacate the house in Barangay 176 owned by the victim’s parents.

Witnesses said Magdaraoy told his uncle that he has no right to stay in the house because he was there only as a caretaker. Corollo got a kitchen knife and attacked his nephew, they said.
