Man arrested for alleged rape of 16-year-old girl

MANILA, Philippines – A 55-year-old man was arrested after being identified as one of two persons who allegedly molested a 16-year-old girl in Quezon City.

Investigator Police Officer 3 Joy Nunez identified the suspect as Arnold Hao of Barangay Talipapa. Hao was arrested at his house Monday morning.

The other suspect remains at large and was identified as Hao’s friend, Michael Galunggong.

The victim reportedly suffers from a mild mental condition, which the suspects allegedly took advantage of. The rape happened at past midnight Monday in the house of Galunggong also in Barangay Talipapa.

The girl was at a sari-sari store when she was asked by the suspects who were drinking there for a massage. But at the house of Galunggong, the victim was made to watch a pornographic movie on the computer.

The suspects then allegedly gagged the girl with a handkerchief then raped her. The girl was even given P200 after what happened.

But the girl confided to her cousin, resulting in one of the suspects’ arrest.
