MANILA, Philippines - Three suspected robbers, armed with a handgun and knives, were arrested in Malabon City Thursday night.
Chief Inspector Realito Esperida, of the city police Station Investigation and Detective Management Branch (SIDMB), identified the suspects as Alvin Bautista, 19, a resident of Caloocan City; Eduardo Elizalde, 26, and a 17-year-old boy, both of Barangay Tonsuya, Malabon.
Police seized from Elizalde a .38 caliber revolver with five bullets while the boy and Bautista yielded two knives, Esperida said.
Police Officer 3 Jerry de la Torre said Police Officers 2 Ysmael Tayapan, Romy Suatin and Patrick Alvarado were patrolling along J. P. Rizal Avenue in Barangay Tonsuya when they chanced upon the suspects roaming aimlessly in the area at around 10:30 p.m.
