Woman nabbed for shoplifting

MANILA, Philippines – A 23-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly shoplifting at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City, police record shows.

The alleged theft took place about 6 p.m. on Friday. Suspect Leonissa Austria was caught by security guard Jose Lintia Jr., and is now under the custody of the Pasay City police. The accessories recovered from Austria amounted to P691.75.

These include a black purse, a shirt, various hair accessories, and a ring. Saturday’s foiled theft was the third recorded incident of shoplifting at the MOA since Friday, where two separate incidents of foiled shoplifting were reported from the mall’s Hypermarket.
