Barangay execs support Aquino

MANILA, Philippines - The national Liga ng mga Barangay (LNB), a 42,000-strong association of barangay leaders from all over the country, yesterday announced their full support for Liberal Party (LP) presidential candidate Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

LNB president Ricojudge Echiverri, also a Caloocan City councilor, said in a statement that Aquino is their preferred candidate for president because of his “unwavering dedication to eliminate graft and corruption.”

“Only Aquino is capable of bringing good governance to the Philippines and get the country back on track toward progress,” Echiverri said.

Echiverri said his group fully believes in Aquino’s capability to bring progress even to the far-flung areas of the country.
