Muntinlupa will finally get regular water supply

MANILA, Philippines - Before the month of May ends, more than 22,000 Muntinlupa households will finally be provided with regular water supply with the expected completion of the P1.2 billion pipe-laying project of the Maynilad Water Services as well as the modern Maynilad Putatan Water Treatment Plant.

Mayor Aldrin San Pedro and Maynilad president Rogelio Singson inspected the plant and the pipe-laying project in Barangay Putatan to ensure that the project is on schedule. The mayor said that initially, the water treatment plant will produce 50 million liters of potable water daily and this will increase to 100 million liters per day by the end of the year. This means that each household will get 24 hours of water service, he said.

According to Maynilad, the pipe-laying project consists of 9.4 kilometers of primary water lines and 63 kilometers of secondary lines to interconnect barangays in Muntinlupa. This will benefit 22,670 families in the city.
