Bureau of Immigration to open satellite office in Quezon City
MANILA, Philippines - The Bureau of Immigration (BI) will open tomorrow its newest satellite office in Quezon City as part of the agency’s decentralization and regionalization programs.
BI Commissioner Marcelino Libanan and Quezon City Mayor Feliciano Belmonte Jr. will lead the inauguration of the BI’s newest Immigration Area Office (IAO)-NCR West located at Orcel II Building on Quezon Avenue.
The new office will be headed by BI legal officer Cris Villalobos, who also supervises the agency’s special visa for employment generation program.
Libanan said foreigners residing in Quezon City no longer have to go to the bureau’s main office in Intramuros, Manila to file their visa applications or have their immigration documents processed.
“We deliver right to their doorsteps our services so that every foreigners in the country has no reason to delay the processing of their visa and other immigration concerned,” Libanan said.
The BI said all its IAOs in Metro Manila are fully operational.
The other satellite offices are located on Masangkay street in Sta. Cruz, Manila; in Neo Chinatown Mall on Diosdado Macapagal Avenue; and the Starmall.
