MANILA, Philippines - The bodies of a 19-year-old female and her 20-year-old live-in partner were hidden inside a broken airbed and dumped along C-5 Road in Taguig City yesterday morning.
Senior Superintendent Camilo Cascolan, Taguig police chief, identified the victims as Angeline Ann Cuison, 19; and Jimboy Salditos, 20. Both are residents of Barangay Katuparan, Taguig City.
Cascolan said Cuison is wearing a shirt and black shorts, was found wrapped in an orange tarpaulin. Salditos was placed inside a sack. He was found to be wearing only black short pants. The police report said the suspect identified as Mat Sorbito afterwards, forced the bodies inside a broken airbed.
Police Officer 2 Christopher Flores, officer-on-case, said that around 5:45 a.m., the airbed lying along C-5 Road in Barangay Pinagsama, Taguig, caught the attention of passerby Donato Salazar, 54, and resident of Engineer Hills, North Signal Village, Taguig City. Salazar told policemen that while he was passing by the area, he noticed a pair of feet that was dangling from inside the airbed. He immediately reported the incident to the barangay.
Scene of the Crime Operatives led by Chief Inspector Maja Orilla and a team from the police headquarters proceeded at the site and found the two victims hidden inside the airbed. The ocular inspection revealed that Cuison sustained a lone gunshot wound on the wrist. The two victims will be subjected to autopsy.
Cascolan said they are eyeing revenge as the motive of the suspect since the victims are reportedly involved in a buy and sell business of laptops. A manhunt has already been launched against Sorbito. He said that a follow-up investigation is being conducted on the incident.
