3 Chinese charged for drug pushing

- Non Alquitran -

MANILA, Philippines - Police filed drug pushing charges yesterday against three Chinese caught with 7.5 kilos of shabu worth P45 million during a buy-bust operation in Parañaque City.

Charged before the Parañaque prosecutor’s office were William Chua, alias Sunxiao Xu, 25, Andy Hong, alias Wenxian Hong, 32, and Kim Sy, alias Xiuqin Shi, 29, all residents of 148 Peru street, Better Living Subdivision in Parañaque City.

Metro police chief Director Roberto Rosales said the three suspects refused to cooperate in their investigation of their source of the illegal drugs. However, Rosales dispatched two nine-man teams in Metro Manila and nearby provinces to conduct follow-up operations to get the other members of the drug syndicate.

“We are continuously conducting follow-up operations on the case not only in Metro Manila but also in the provinces. We are hoping to get the other members of the drug syndicate in due time,” said Rosales in an interview.

Chua, Hong and Sy were arrested Sunday night in the vicinity of a convenience store located along Doña Soledad street, Better Living Subdivision after handing over the shabu to a poseur-buyer in exchange for P30 million in “boodle” money.

Superintendent Leo Francisco, head of the NCRPOs Regional Police Intelligence and Operation Unit (RPIOU) said they traced the trio through the Toyota Altis (XLF-292) they were using in their drug peddling operation.

Chua, Hong and Sy are now detained at the RPIOU office in Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City.
