Halili seeks P100-million damages for sex video
MANILA, Philippines – Actress Katrina Halili said yesterday that her sex video with Dr. Hayden Kho would haunt her till her death and she hoped that the court would grant her P100 million in moral damages.
Testifying before Pasig City regional trial court Judge Rodolfo Bonifacio, Halili said even after her death “people from all over the world could watch several times the sex video,” which she said was taken without her consent.
Kho’s lawyer, Lorna Kapunan, said Halili has to pay docket fee for the P100 million damages she is asking.
Halili’s lawyer, Raymund Palad, responded that it was the National Bureau of Investigation that brought the case to the Department of Justice (DOJ).
The actress claimed that even her family was dragged into the controversy and shame. “Halili is my real surname,” she said during the hearing.
The NBI is still determining those responsible for the proliferation of the sex video.
The actress admitted later that it was her first time to stand as a witness in a case. Kho, who also attended the hearing, was accompanied by his mother and a friend.
Both camps have agreed that each present their own copy of the sex video during the next hearing. – Non Alquitran
