Caloocan traders urged to pay taxes early

MANILA, Philippines - Caloocan City businessmen were urged yesterday to settle their tax obligations early to avoid trying to beat the April 15 deadline.
Mayor Enrico Echiverri reminded the local businessmen that taxes collected by the city government funds vital infrastructure projects, especially road improvements and school buildings.
Echiverri also directed the city hall employees to be prompt and polite in assisting taxpayers to make their transaction trouble-free. – Pete Laude
