7 nabbed in Valenzuela drug den
MANILA, Philippines - Northern Police District (NPD) anti-drug police officers arrested a suspected pusher and six alleged users during a raid on a house reportedly used as a drug den in Valenzuela City Wednesday night.
NPD director Chief Superintendent Samuel Pagdilao Jr. identified the suspected pusher as Marcelino Abarollo, alias “Narsing Tolentino,” 37, a resident of Barangay Marulas.
Randel Tingson, 34; Joven Agustin, 27; Virgilio Galino, 32; Jennilyn Ramos, 21’ Ruben Taberna, 27; and a 17-year-old boy, were arrested while reportedly engaging in a shabu session in Abarollo’s house.
“Lab tests conducted on the suspects show they are all drug users,” Chief Inspector Jay Agcaoili, NPD anti-drug division head, told The STAR yesterday. The suspects all denied being drug users.
Agcaoili said they raided Abarollo’s house at around 10 p.m. after receiving a number of text messages that a suspected pusher uses his own house as a haven for drug users in the area.
A team, led by Senior Police Officers 1 Fernando Gomboc and Jonathan Taguba, were able to buy a sachet of shabu from the suspect. – Pete Laude
