3 Chinese men nabbed in drug raid

MANILA, Philippines - Three Chinese nationals were arrested in a raid on an alleged “mini-laboratory” for the manufacture of shabu by Parañaque police officers and the Philippine National Police Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force (AIDSOTF) Friday.

Senior Superintendent Alfredo Valdez, Parañaque police chief, said Chu Kin Tung alias Toni Lim, 39, a native of Hong Kong; Wong Min Pin alias Chua, 47, of Macau, China; and a certain A Chi, 29, were nabbed during a raid on a house they rented on Concha Cruz Drive in BF Homes.

Valdez said they received information that the group was operating a mini-laboratory in the house. Armed with a search warrant issued by Parañaque Judge Aida Estrella Macapagal, the lawmen seized an undetermined amount of shabu, drug paraphernalia, a Glock 9mm pistol with a silencer, and a fragmentation grenade.

The suspects were brought to the AIDSOTF headquarters at Camp Crame for detention.    – Rhodina Villanueva
