Salesman loses P.1 million to burglars

MANILA, Philippines - A salesman lost nearly P100,000 in cash and valuables to burglars who broke into his condominium unit in Pasay City Wednesday night.

Police said Alfonso Esguerra, 48, and his family discovered the front door of their Ginga Condominium unit had been forced open when they returned to the unit at around 6 p.m. after shopping at a nearby mall.

Esguerra said he lost two Nokia cell phones, one Ericsson cell phone, jewelry and P6,500.    – Rhodina Villanueva
