Pro-Noynoy group launches Valenzuela chapter

MANILA, Philippines - Ayos NA, Noynoy NA, the youth alliance supporting Liberal Party (LP) presidential candidate Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, launched yesterday its chapter in Valenzuela City.

Valenzuela is the hometown of Aquino’s girlfriend, Councilor Shalani Soledad.

Actor Dingdong Dantes, lead convenor of Ayos NA (Advocates of Youth and Students for Noynoy Aquino), joined Soledad’s group in endorsing Aquino for the presidential elections in May.

“Today, we raise the yellow flag in Valenzuela the hometown of Councilor Shalani Soledad, the apple of Senator Aquino’s eye,” said Dantes before an adoring crowd of several thousands at the Polo covered court in Barangay Polo. 

“Kuya Noynoy may not be a slick orator compared to other presidential candidates, but his message is simple and clear: Hindi ako magnanakaw,” said Dantes.

Soledad urged her townmates to support Aquino in his presidential bid.

“We ask you to cast your votes with unwavering faith in this man who is committed to running a government that is committed to and accountable to the people, to a government that works with the people in achieving long-term change,” she said.

“This is in keeping with our pledge to organize thousands of youth volunteers for Kuya Noynoy throughout the land,” said Dantes.       – Jerry Botial
