Couple loses car to robbers

MANILA, Philippines - Three unidentified robbers attacked a couple who had just come from a party and took their maroon Toyota Revo (WHR-916) at gunpoint in Barangay CAA, Las Piñas City at around midnight Thursday.

Senior Police Officer 1 Geronimo Nuestro identified the victims as Rubiñon Ramir and Janice de la Cruz, both of Imus, Cavite.

Nuestro said Ramir and De la Cruz were about to board their car parked along Aguilar Street in Barangay CAA when the robbers, armed with a gun, approached and ordered them to give their car key.

The robbers also took the victims’ cell phones and other valuables before fleeing. Nuestro said they are conducting a follow-up investigation to track down the robbers.   – Rhodina Villanueva
