MANILA, Philippines - A 27-year-old bank employee fell from the rooftop of a 23-story building in Makati City yesterday.
Senior Police Officer 2 Lewely Cristobal said Emmanuel Ventura, an employee of the HSBC Bank in Makati, suffered multiple fractures when he fell from the Prince Plaza II building and medico-legal experts are conducting an extensive autopsy to determine if there was foul play involved in the incident.
Cristobal said at around 9:50 a.m., a security guard heard a loud thump and discovered the victim’s body on the ground at the corner of Dela Costa and Legazpi streets.
Cristobal said they are still investigating whether the victim fell by accident, jumped or was pushed.
“We retrieved a cell phone from the area of the incident and we are still looking into it,” Cristobal said. – Jose Rodel Clapano
