Korean student jumps to death in Quezon City

-

MANILA, Philippines - A Korean student died after he allegedly jumped from the penthouse of a condominium building in Quezon City yesterday morning.

Superintendent Edgardo Pamittan, commander of the Quezon City Police District-Station 11, said a closed-circuit television camera of Garden Heights Condominium on E. Rodriguez Avenue showed Young Hoon Yu took the elevator up to the 24th floor, where the penthouse is located.

He said Young, in his early 30s, died on the spot after his 24-floor fall at past 10 a.m. Young was a resident of the building and a first-year hotel and restaurant management student at the nearby Trinity University of Asia, according to Pamittan, who said it was not clear why the Korean committed suicide.   – Reinir Padua
