Navotas imposes transparent front for Internet cafes

MANILA, Philippines - Navotas Mayor Toby Tiangco ordered yesterday all computer shops in the city to maintain transparent front walls and doors to discourage criminals.

He said making sure authorities have a clear view of the inside of the shop will make criminals think twice.

Tiangco also reminded the city’s business permits and licensing office and barangay officials to continue enforcing an ordinance banning grade school and high school students from entering any leisure or gaming establishments during school hours. – Jerry Botial
