Kompanya ni Jimenez, isinabit sa smuggling

MANILA, Philippines - Sinampahan ng ka­song kriminal sa Depart­ment of Justice Task Force on Anti-Smug­gling ng Bureau of Cus­toms (BOC) ang kom­pan­ya ni Atty. Manuel Jime­nez Jr. dahil sa pag-smuggle ng milyung-milyong im­ported diesel oil.

Kabilang sa mga si­nam­pahan ng kasong paglabag sa Tariff and Customs Code ang Cor­porate Officers and Di­rectors ng Buena Suerte Jimenez Fishing and Trading Inc. (BSJ) na sina Ismael Santos, Val­toni Ponciano, Super­visor, Lope Jimenez, Spe­­­cial Project Con­sultant, Glenn Ramos, Alexander dela Cruz, chairman at Presi­dent, Benjamin Reyes at Ro­bert de Leon, directors at Elan Colinares Corpo­rate Secretary.

Ayon sa Customs In­tel­­ligence and Investi­gation Service (CIIS), naaktuhan ang BSJ na nagdidiskarga at nagma­mantine ng 2,007,952 litro na illegal na imported diesel oil ng walang ka­ukulang dokumento.

Tinatayang umaabot sa P63,645,406 ang ha­laga ng nadiskubreng smuggled diesel oil. (Gemma Amargo-Garcia)
